I have been a Principal IT Consultant for over 25 years, working for some of the world's leading software and services companies including Microsoft and Oracle,
While at Microsoft I had trained to ambassador level with CEOPs (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) to help deliver assemblies to schools. I saw that many schools struggled to pass on Internet Safety teaching themselves. Also, the parents of the pupils were unaware of the issues and how to have the conversation with their children. I felt with my experience I could help.
In 2009 I decided to leave Microsoft to set up on my own and work directly with schools.
At the time, my two daughters were young teenagers so I was well aware of benefits, and pitfalls, the internet could bring. I have also heard from schools of problems they have encountered.
I am proud to have been chair of Governors for my local Infant school for over 16 years during which time I have seen first hand how IT is a big part in the lives of our children.
I use my internet knowledge, together with my school experience and real world examples to deliver lessons, assemblies and workshops.
Since I started on my own, I have had the pleasure of talking to over 130,000 people at over 300 establishments.
Away from work, I am an avid football fan and enjoy reading crime novels.
